Our Committment to the Environment

At the Rossland Motel we are committed to ensuring your vacation doesn't have a negative effect on the environment. Below are the ways we are helping to create greener accommodation:

*60% rayon from Bamboo/ 40% cotton sheets
*Full and comprehensive recycling program
*Almost all cleaning products are phosphate free and biodegradable
*Biodegradable, phosphate free concentrated laundry soap
*We use biodegradable dryer sheets
*All paper products are 100% recycled
*90% of our light bulbs are compact flourescents
*70% of our fridges have been replaced with Energy Star compliant ones
*We use a front load Energy Star compliant washing machine and dryers
*Currently switching our hot tub to more enviromentally friendly products where possible.
*Currently working on a composting program for Spring 2009
